Pregnancy month by month - the first month

In our Kokosek store you will find everything a future mother needs.

Beginning of the first trimester of pregnancy

In the first weeks of pregnancy, even gynecological examinations may not confirm the presence of a gestational sac. However, thicker endometrium and the presence of a corpus luteum in the ovary may be indicators.

The news that she'll soon become a mother evokes a variety of emotions, both joy and anxiety. Throughout the next stages of pregnancy, she'll be carrying a tiny being, so she can't forget about proper body care and relaxation.

Symptoms of pregnancy in its first month are generally:

  • feeling of constant fatigue,
  • nausea and vomiting,
  • aversion to selected smells and foods,
  • changed taste of food,
  • cessation of menstruation,
  • irritation,
  • metallic taste in the mouth.

The first month of pregnancy doesn't produce any visible physical symptoms. Often, even a gynecologist can't yet confirm the presence of a gestational sac during an ultrasound. However, the doctor can notice changes in the uterus itself, including a slight enlargement.

A pregnancy calendar is extremely important in the life of an expectant mother because it informs her about the stage of development of her baby and what physical and mental symptoms she can expect.

Well-being in the first trimester of pregnancy

Well-being during the first trimester of pregnancy is generally not ideal. Women typically experience significant fatigue, drowsiness, and irritability. However, this isn't always the case, and pregnant women sometimes feel very well.

To feel better in the first month of pregnancy, it is worth trying, for example:

  • relaxation and meditation bycandlelight, preferably soy,
  • relaxing baths, e.g. with the addition of flower tea (it is important to remember that the water temperature should not be too high),
  • yoga (if the doctor sees no health contraindications).

Taking care of yourself in the first month of pregnancy

The first month of pregnancy is an important stage when it's necessary to switch to a more natural skincare routine. Cosmetics rich in retinol, acids, artificial ingredients (dyes and fragrances), and preservatives are not recommended. A good investment is purchasing high-quality, preferably organic cosmetics that are not only safe but also nurture pregnant women's skin with care (deeply moisturizing, improving elasticity, and preventing stretch marks).

The cosmetics bag of a future mother should include, among others:
