A baby's first meals are a special time – full of new tastes, colors, and textures . A properly chosen bowl can make this stage much easier, supporting both baby's development and parental comfort . Unlike plates, bowls are ideal for serving soups, porridges, purees, or fruit purees, and their shape helps babies scoop up food more easily.
When choosing, it is worth paying attention to several key parameters that really affect the comfort of use:
Diameter : optimally 10-13 cm – large enough to hold a portion of food, but compact enough for a child to eat from easily.
Depth : 4–5 cm – this prevents food from falling out when scooping, and the portions are adapted to small appetites.
Material : preferably food-grade silicone , BIOBU® bamboo composite or organic cotton coated with ecological resin – they are durable, non-toxic and impact-resistant.
Suction cup : especially important when learning to eat independently – it prevents the bowl from tipping over.
Ergonomic edges : slightly rounded and profiled walls make it easier to scoop food with a spoon.

A well-designed bowl becomes invaluable around six months of age , when your little one begins their adventure with expanding their diet and first meals like porridge, puree, or puree. The appropriate shape and capacity facilitate learning to feed independently, while a stable base or suction cup effectively reduces mess by preventing the bowl from sliding across the countertop. Made of safe, certified materials and free of sharp edges, it ensures comfort and safety during every meal.
