EKOBO is a French brand created in 2003 by husband and wife team Boo and Bruno Louis . The story began with a search for safe, durable, and aesthetically pleasing tableware for children while the couple was expecting their first daughter. Since then, this family idea has evolved into a global brand offering over 500 products – from bowls and mugs to lunchboxes, containers, and kitchen accessories – perfect for both home and outdoor use.
The brand's slogan , "Designed for Good," underscores its mission: to create beautiful and functional items that are both environmentally friendly and last for years. At EKOBO, ecology isn't a trend, but a commitment – each product aims to minimize its environmental footprint while also impressing with its design.
From the very beginning, bamboo has been at the heart of the brand – a renewable raw material that became the basis for the proprietary BIOBU® material in 2010. It's an eco-friendly composite combining bamboo fiber with food-grade melamine resin, BPA-free, and compliant with REACH, LFGB, and FDA standards.
The offer has been expanded to include:
Premium food-grade silicone – flexible, durable, resistant to temperature changes.
Cork – lightweight, antibacterial and naturally waterproof.
RePET – polyester from recycled plastic bottles.
GOTS certified organic cotton .
All materials are non-toxic, reusable and safety tested .
Although designs originate in Paris, production takes place in proven, ethical workshops in China , where artisanal techniques are combined with quality control . Boo Louis, the designer, creates collections that combine minimalism with functionality , introducing two to three new models every season. Distinctive colors, matte finishes, and simple lines make EKOBO products suitable for interiors of any style.
Products such as silicone suction cups and bamboo plates are designed with everyday, intensive use in mind.
