The "Kuku" series are early concept books for the youngest readers.

The colorful bird Kuku wakes up in a good mood and, full of energy, sets off to meet his friends. He races across the meadow with a cow, plays ball with a dog, and spies on a catfish in love with a frog, imitating the sounds: mee, bee, moo, kum kum. In this way, through the rhythm of everyday games and activities, we learn onomatopoeic words and teach children to pronounce simple syllables. This is supported by rhyming text, humorous situations, and the various emotions of our curious hero.

The book guides us through the various times of the day – waking up, breakfast, playing, and falling asleep – so that we can also use the book in the evening. Basia Flores's picturesque world, combined with the expressiveness of the sounds, encourages repeated play, thus developing pronunciation and memory. The emotions that accompany each illustration put the child in a positive mood, inspiring play with elements of creative exercises.

"Cuckoo-Cow!" is the second in a series of books featuring our polka-dotted hero. Those familiar with him from the first installment, "Peek-a-Boo!", will have extra fun and support in the crucial memory development of this period, as they'll recognize, in addition to Cuckoo, previously familiar characters: a cat, a mouse, and the moon.

Our cardboard books, produced by a Polish printing house, are of high quality and will serve your child for a long time.

How Kuku came to be? Basia Flores tells the story :

To be a bird, or a bird's adventure, or ideally both a bird and its adventure. Some will say: impossible. I'll answer: everything is possible with the imagination. Oh yes! Okay, but where did the Cuckoo come from? How did it come to me? How did it come into being? An encounter (and no other) I remember well: on a warm summer evening in July 2018, I was sipping evening coffee in a small apartment in a town on the Vistula River. For a moment, perhaps in great absentmindedness, a charming, discreet, skittish individual, reminiscent of a black-headed bunting, perched beside me on the kitchen window sill. The yellow-feathered soloist simply sang "tirli-tirli" and phew! He was gone. This brief but intense interaction inspired me to draw an illustration commemorating that moment. That's how the first drawing of the Cuckoo Bird was created. A few months later, Kuku and I went to the Fair of Pretty Things, where I was lucky enough to meet Magda and Robert from Wytwórnia Publishing House. Kuku caught Magda's eye, and thus began an illustrated adventure that has resulted in three books for children; "Peek-a-boo", "Peek-a-boo!" and "Peek-a-boo!"
