A story about Lotta and her human pack, full of humor, the smell of dog paws and the stamps from a wet nose.
Lotta – a mutt adopted from a foster home – turns a family's life upside down. Suddenly, various objects mysteriously disappear from the house, only to be replaced by yellowish puddles, muddy footprints, fur on the couch, previously unfamiliar smells, and tons of love! With innate grace and stoic calm, Lotta gradually raises her human pack, which – although she feels she has the situation under control – is completely, utterly, and utterly subservient to her Principiessa, who has clearly cast a canine spell over them. Especially on their mother!
Note: Lotta's resemblance to the author's dog is entirely deliberate. From Principiessa's reflections: A book? About me? Can you eat it?
