Meet Pucio and his family! This lovable little one is a favorite companion for children as they take their first steps in learning to speak.
The fifth installment of Pucio's adventures offers children who can already speak an opportunity to practice their storytelling skills. The adventures surrounding the arrival of a new family member are a welcome incentive.
Under each large illustration there are additional pictures encouraging children to describe the characters' experiences in their own words, as well as questions encouraging a conversation with parents on a topic that is particularly interesting for every child: their own birth.
Storytelling requires, among other things, an understanding of cause-and-effect relationships and time relations. We can help children by asking questions like, "What happened first?", "What did Pucio do next?", "Why?", and using phrases like "first," "later," and "finally." Above all, let your children be independent in their storytelling, asking questions, and explaining situations they encounter in the book.
